Too rich for my blood, but I will say this: I live in the land of dying baby boomers and visit estate sales all the time. I cannot believe some of the garbage cookery I see in homes that are worth hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars. People spend a couple grand on a dining room table, another grand on china, and another on fine silver. And they spend $10 on pot metal skillets. Because in America, we care about what our guests see, not what we feed them.
And yes, you can cook well on cheap pots and pans, but it is easier with good tools. With reasonable care, this set will be in use by your great great grandchildren, while the pot metal will have been replaced thirty times over. Over the years, I've collected a good set of heirloom quality cookware for far less than this, and that was worth it.
Dang bro which land do you live in where you feed your guests pots metal skillets

Agreed. I have bought some copper for much less than this. I have also bought a lot of vintage cast iron.
What's the point or benefit of this kind of cookware anyway? Forget the cost for a minute. Why would this copper set be any better than a Tramontina set like this? https://www.tramontina.com/collec...okware-set
It's the amount of copper in it, the rivets in the handle, the craftsmanship. These are statement pieces you would see hanging above the chefs at the French laundry. The copper dissipates heat very quickly and efficiently, so you don't get hot spots and the burner you're using is almost immediately transferring the heat to the food. These are great for cooking things sub 300 degrees. Melting butter, cream sauces, etc.
So, it's expensive because it's a statement piece, but copper is also super expensive. Kind of like gaming computers right now. They're crazy expensive generally but due to ram and graphics cards and storage costs, they're insanely expensive.
Book a trip to India. Visit the country. Travel around. Buy a full cooper set from there in local currency. And still possibly have some money left over, compared to this deal!
I use these are my daily cookware; though when I bought them the set was about $800. Prices have gone out. They are excellent cookware, high heat conductivity, well made and look stunning.

You know that is in every culture, even outside of the bubble that you are in? Just venture outside of your neighberhood and to a different socioeconomic class and people have different priorities from you to show their status.
