Get the centric from Woot. Have two sets and they went couple times to Europe and back without damages and roll very smooth.
Community Reviews
This Samsonite Omni set is a hardside carry-on and 28 inch spinner pair that stands out for its polycarbonate shell and, in the received sets, dual wheel spinner wheels. The luggage is described as holding up well over years of travel, including international trips, and staying looking new. The main concern is the wheel design, with some reports of single wheel versions that roll poorly and wear out quickly, while the carry on also opens the wrong way. A practical pick if wheel style and durability matter most.
Common Questions (4)
The set has been received in both forms in the comments: some units are described as single-wheel or one wheel per leg, while others are reported as upgraded dual-wheel spinner versions. If wheel performance matters, verify the exact version before buying.
It is reported to hold up well over years of use and on international trips, but hardside shells can crack and the wheels are described as a common failure point. The Samsonite warranty is noted as covering wheel replacements.
The carry-on is reported to roll poorly when it has the single-wheel setup, while the dual-wheel spinner version is described as rolling smoothly. Several comments also say the luggage held up well on trips, including international travel.
Yes, the carry-on is reported to open the wrong way, which is called out as a design annoyance. That issue is mentioned even by a commenter who otherwise says the set held up well.
