My preference is a U or inverted U design, but you can't beat cheap and efficient (and easier to install).

Loud at high fan speed. Amazon/BB reviews indicate possible high initial failure rate w/ poor mfg service. Note old style window sealing at ends of AC unit (Midea and Hisense, which I both have, use rigid foam panels) and may be the reason for higher operating cost, despite its CEER 15 rating. Appears to be decent budget window AC inverter/smart unit. I'd use a CC with free extended warranty.
