I owned something identical to this. The plastic at the top snapped without warning and sent the spring flying across the room with a great deal of force. I would not recommend these, but if you do buy them, please aim it away from your face, everything you can or anyone.

With those studies, I wonder how much grip strength is the cause of being fit, or just a result of being healthy and active otherwise.
Fit is Very Subjective, But in General If a Person is Actively Walking and using their Hands playing some sort of Games like Baseball,Cricket,Volley or Football/Soccer or doing Carpentry/Gardening on a Regular Basis then Their Grip & Hip Strength is going to be up to Snuff, Otherwise there could be some serious problems down the road

Totally agree. Regardless, I don't think buying a grip trainer and repping out is going to have a direct effect on my longevity.
