This Anker refurb Prime Docking Station is a strong low-cost pick for multi-monitor desk setups, especially when the coupon drops it to around $32. It supports two external displays, ethernet, power, and USB accessories, and the built-in screen shows real-time power usage. The main tradeoffs are DisplayLink driver dependence, possible lag, and limited support concerns for streaming services and cross-platform use. The coupon appears limited to two uses per account, and firmware update support is unclear, making it a practical dock with a few compatibility caveats.
The dock can run a MacBook Pro with two external monitors while also handling Ethernet, power, and USB accessories.
The built-in display can show real-time power usage during operation.
A coupon can reduce the total cost to about $32, making the refurb purchase cheaper than the base deal.
The dock can fit multi-device setups by serving as a WFH dock and also as a Steam Deck dock.
The dock may require a DisplayLink driver, and the listing images indicate support limited to Windows and macOS.
The dock can show lag across multiple interfaces and may depend on DisplayLink for performance.
The dock lacks DHCP support, which can cause streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime to display a black screen.
Anker may cancel orders after charging, which can disrupt a purchase timeline.

Unfortunately it seems difficult to make a reliable dock that lives up to the specs on the box.
I try to stick to docks by companies like Dell and HP.
$30 and hundreds available as refurbs was not confidence inspiring.
