The point of this device is to get the car to start up if it won't. Not keep the battery healthy. If they are draining it, that is hurting the car battery. It will wear out much faster. You should get them a portable power pack for their gadgets that doesn't use car power.
There are devices called LFP power stations that can fully recharge a car battery and let you use the radio for several hours. But they are hundreds of dollars and weigh much more.
