The real deal is to buy these pellets at $9.99 on sale in store now but even regular store price of $12.99 is much better than $17.99. Why would you pay almost double? You're better off buying PitBoss Competition blend 40 lbs from Lowe's at $14.99 regular price or Bear Mountain Gourmet blend 40 lbs from Home Depot at $14.99 regular price and I get free shipping on both with my business accounts.
Update: Looks like Lowes recently increased the price for Pitboss to $16.98, but it's still cheaper and better in my opinion (less dust) than the KS pellets online price. I have not used BM Gourmet yet so I can't compare with KS, but at $9.99 for KS in store price, I'll definitely stock up while they're on sale.

Agreed. I just picked up two bags for $9.99 each in store yesterday.

Except these ARE the PitBoss competition blend.

Same. I still had an extra unopened bag at home but had to pick it up at $9.99.

The shipping isn't "free", it's built in the price markup on dot-com.

Good product, but costco's e-commerce arm is dogshit.

Do you have any proof of that? I noticed that I have to clean my smoker more often when using KS pellets because there's more dust when using KS than when using PitBoss. That's why I was ok to pay $2 more per bag as it cut down on cleaning, but $9.99 it's too good of a deal to pass.

You can find a picture online of the manufacturer tag Costco gets. It's pink. You can also go onto any smoking forum or whatever that uses pellets, it's a widely known fact for years.

Great pellets but get them in store for 12.99 or less on sale
