Problem is that my saw shines a bright light on the workpiece like most Dewalt tools. Another issue is imbalance in the device causing vibration.

You sure you don't have a shadow line? Shadow lines are way better than a laser imo. I installed a shadow line on my Bosch miter saw and it rocks.

I have a shadow line on my miter saw, but I was talking about my cordless circular saw. It doesn't, but I don't really think it would be a big help. I have a cutting jig for the circular saw that gives accurate straight cuts anyway.

I see mixed reviews about how accurate it is. Does it have any adjustment built in to tweak the accuracy?

I also see that they have a green laser (unfortunately, not on sale) that would be brighter for outdoor use.
