It did let me order 5 for physical delivery, so hopefully those come thru and I just have to wait a few extra days.

Yes. I just did this deal myself. E-gift cards can be used on Nintendos offical store.

Other than the slightly tedious act of having to add 25 $20 gift card codes to my Nintendo account, this is a fantastic deal!
