i had something similar. i was able to get passed TSA at LAX.. but then arrived at Taipei.. they scanned my carryon and saw the multi tool. no blade on it.. but they wouldn't allow it. Luckily they had a special box and allowed me to put it aside and they brought that onto the plane and i got it back when i got off the plane. So lucky they were cool with setting aside but other airlines told me to leave it behind.

I've never used this one, but I have the basic doohickey and I use it daily. It's so useful that I bought a second for my work keychain at my maintenance plumbing job. It'll cut pipe insulation, turn Sloan shutoff valves, and adjust Watts mixing valves with the nut driver slot.

Ok now i get what he meant. Instead of the round hole, it should have been a 10mm hex opening. Yes agree.
