Dawn Platinum Plus Lemon Scent Dish Spray Refill is a versatile cleaner that works well beyond the sink, especially on car rims, engine bays, nonstick pans, and breast milk bottles. The spray helps apply the right amount of suds and can lift built up grime with little scrubbing, sometimes after a short soak. The refill price is a recurring drawback, and the spray is described as thinner than regular Dawn Platinum. A homemade dilution with Dawn Platinum, water, and rubbing alcohol is often used to cut the cost.
Common Questions (5)
Yes. It has been used successfully on car rims and engine bays, including coated aluminum rims. For rims, keep them wet, spray, rinse promptly, and move wheel by wheel; leaving it on too long is not recommended.
Yes, it can be refilled at home with a cheaper DIY mix. A common recipe uses Dawn Platinum dish liquid, water, and a small amount of 70% isopropyl alcohol or rubbing alcohol, and refilling a Power Wash bottle can cut the cost to about one-fifth.
The deal can land around $1.65 to $1.68 including tax after Subscribe & Save and the discount. One comment also notes a coupon that worked on only one bottle.
Yes. It was used to restore a nonstick pan after other cleaning methods failed, and it also made cleaning breast milk bottles easier during pumping.
It is reported to be less concentrated than regular Dawn Platinum dish soap and can feel watered down. Even so, the spray is still effective for applying the right amount of suds when washing dishes or hands.
