There are printable reading charts you can print out and try - you hold them a set distance from your face and find the size of text you can read etc.
Could try this: https://www.americanreadingglasse...gth-guide/
I also just went to a local pharmacy and tried on a few different strengths.

This is pretty crazy but with shipping (without Walmart+) is a good deal I think. I don't need the strength that's on sale.

Another option is stop by Walmart or dollar stores and try a bunch of them... Works if you don't to do eye dr.

This is what I would recommend. Pretty much any dollar store, Walmart, pharmacy, or whatever will have a display set up and a little chart. Pick the lowest strength that clears up the letters at the recommended distance.

Honestly?

Go try a pair on and try to read your phone.

They're basically magnifying glasses, so just see what you like best at the store.

There are more glasses available than this. not sure why the original link in the OP didn't get transferred to the front page. It's still there if you click on original post, but here it is again anyways. [walmart.com]

Got my first pair of glasses a few weeks ago after a $100 optometrist visit at Costco

Not what I expected at all.

Highly recommend getting a vision test.

These OTC readers are all spherical power. While a vision test checks cylindrical power and axis which goes into your prescription.

So you'll never get 100% clear vision with OTC glasses which increases your eye strain and deteriorates your vision over time.
