No. One or the other. It's a great charger and the batteries are good for small jobs or finishing off a big one after your 4Ah dies. I would not get this deal just for the charger, though. I like mine, but I also wanted to batteries too

Ryobi has a 18V/40V simultaneous slow charger. Its a bit bigger. This one is a smaller physical sized one at a time fast charger.

Agreed. I bought a ryobi weed whacker and have used it maybe 20 times for 30 minutes each use. Now the battery doesn't last more than 15 minutes without needing a "fast charge" but I'm either getting this deal or thinking about going with gasoline. Does anyone have any recommendations for one?

Battery tools never meant to use for large areas, unless you already have a buttload of batteries to begin with.

With that said, maybe you can start a new collection of battery / tools or just goes with a system that you have a lot of batteries already. Or .... gas which require maintenance to prevent clog.

I have tons of ryobi stuffs now with lots of batteries to rotate through. Even power my fishfinder with one.
