If you're only going to be using it on heat-shrink-tube, I hear its great for that. But nothing more intense or needing more heat, as it lacks it, and burns through batteries. IMO any kind of energy intensive tools like a HEAT gun, I want it corded for maximum effect. May as well get a cheap ass wired heat gun, than have a so-so cordless one.

This is a purpose built tool, its mean for places where you dont have easy access to outlets. Its not meant to be a replacement to a "real" heat gun, but its great for automotive work.
