Without taking price into consideration, this sprayer works decently well with thin liquids that are the consistency of water or milk, but the compressor isn't powerful enough to fully atomize liquid that is thicker than milk, like heavy cream consistency. It still sprays that OK but you'll notice some speckling. When you take the price into consideration then this is an amazing deal since any cordless sprayer that works at all for $20 is amazing, and this works like how I'd expect a $60 cordless sprayer to function. The use case for this is just small touch ups using very thin liquids, staining 1 or 2 cabinet doors, or maybe painting a short hand railing along the side of 3 or 4 steps. I'd suggest getting the Shark 700 if you really want a cordless sprayer because that one has a significantly more powerful compressor so it can atomize liquid better than this one and it can also spray a greater volume of liquid per minute so you get faster coverage too. I have both these models and I don't dislike this one, it just fit my needs as I need one that can spray a variety of viscosity paints and not just thin ones well which is why I only use the Shark 700 (cordless) or Shark 800 (corded) now since those are the most powerful cordles and corded models they make which have the best performance.

I bought an adapter for ryobi to dewalt off amazon. Not the greatest but it worked. Just understand that it is going to sit very high due to the ryobi battery configuration. You won't be able to set the unit down without a block underneath it. The 700 that was on sale for 40 is a better unit.

You don't need to mod it - it is already compatible with Dewalt batteries
Yes, but I put it out there for people who don't have dewalt batteries so they know that they can buy a battery adapter to mod it to fit the dewalt size.
