Just a heads-up: Expect a long wait. I ordered mine on July 5, and it still hasn't been delivered. Amazon now estimates delivery on August 13, even with a Prime subscription.

how do these compare with Yeti insulated mugs? I got a Yeti Coffee mug in a white elephant gift exchange 2 years ago and I am shocked how long it keeps drinks hot. I wanted to buy a second one to have at home but they were $35-$40. I decided to buy the cheaper $15 ones at target and was not happy with the heat retention.

I own a similar Yeti mug. Performance wise it's going to be similar as any other insulated mug. The only major difference was the magnetic lid on the Yetis which I am a big fan of. Makes it easier to use and to clean.

I always struggle with 12oz size mugs. 15-25 oz+ is the sweet spot if you drink anything where you like to add creamer/sugar, pour, or stir without having to be tactical about it. Plus a few extra ounces delays how quickly you have to go back for refills. Other than the size, nice mug.

These do not retain heat as long as the yeti mug. I have one of each and the Stanley is thinner and the lid isn't as thick. However I like this because I can't drink piping hot coffee slurp after slurp. I need it to cool down. I do like the yeti too, maybe because it was a corporate gift. I have a lot of Stanley items and I love them all.
