There are other portable 15" monitors out there w/ similar specs or slightly better specs that cost less than the one in the OP and they come in w/ a slimmer profile.

Same here. Did you see that deal last week for the 15" AOC portable monitor at $30? I bought mine brand new at $50 during BF so I couldn't see myself even buying one of these from ViewSonic at $80 when it's a refurb.

This is the non touchscreen version. I have one that is the touchscreen version and it's build like a tank with a great kickstand. I use it for Mac OS and it works pretty great.

That AOC is even cheaper now. Just bought two. Not seeing any compelling reason to buy this one, sorry.
