hey guys. i'm going through a kitchen remodel currently and looking to set up some temporary place to cook. i was mostly thinking of just getting 1 or 2 of those electric burner stoves, but saw this deal and was wondering if this might be better? this is better for outdoor cooking

I was using a Camp Chef Everest 2X stove during my kitchen remodelling, it worked out well. The coleman's 22000 BTU are for two burners combined, so each one is only 11000 BTU and the cooking surface seems to be fairly limited. Do you have a Costco warehouse nearby? I would go there and check their outdoor stove options.

Make sure that you are ventilating your space when cooking with these inside.

Using this to cook indoors is dangerous and not a good idea. If you have the right pans, an electric induction stove will work great and quick - far better than electric radiant. They sell some that have 2 burners next to each other.

That said, be careful about overloading whatever circuit you have this plugged into. I was tripping a breaker using one + toaster.

yeah i do. i can go there and check. i don't want to put too much money into this though, which is why i was tihnking of just getting a single burner electric stove which can be purchased for < $50

oh i don't mean i was going to use this coleman triton inside. it definitely seems like an outdoor thing.

and yeah good point about the circuit load. maybe i should just stick to outdoor cooking in the meantime

I have an old coleman outdoor stove and it's been a tank. Considering this one if its smaller. It does take longer to heat up than a home range but it works well enough.

If you do go induction single one nice thing is that can be used indoors. We have one and use it to make hot pot at the table.

Either option would work as a placeholder. They both have additional benefits so I'd go with what you're more likely to use after the remodel, assuming you're going to keep whatever you get.
