Hard pass. This is a bait and switch from Acer. They are using the same model name with a different panel. If you look up reviews for the U27X, you will see nothing but good reviews. Those don't have the same panel in them. If you search for the U27X "W3bmiiprx". you wont find anything since they didn't send these out for review (for good reason). They are abysmally dim. Actual tests show 150 nits of SDR brightness that peak at 200 nits. Thats not even a good experience in a pitch-black room. For OLED to look good, you need to have a large range betwen the highest bright points and the lowest dark points. This does a great job with the inky blacks that OLED is known for, but since it doesn't get bright enough to highlight the highs, it looks dull and washed out.

Some Amazon reviews are good, but they likely came from an IPS panel and didn't know better. If you put this next to even a midrange OLED that is only $50ish more, the difference is incredible.

21:9 is 'ultrawide' = UWQHD

QHD and WQHD are identical, and are the 16:9 that's standard these days.

So this is considered a standard 'widescreen', but not an ultrawide. or the ultra ultra wide ones that are like 5120 x 1440.

Bought mine months ago and had to return it. The colors were extremely dull compared to my really mediocre IPS monitor and i tried every setting possible to fix it. Then I bought a different OLED from MSI and the colors hurt my eyes. Can't win with these OLED's.

200 nuts typical with 400 nits @ hdr is very dim... wish it was at least 300 standard and 500 hdr.

Look into pulse width modulation. It may not be the bright colors but rather the technology used to make certain OLED panels look bright. It can result in eye strain and headaches for some who are sensitive to it.

I tried this model for a few weeks but I've returned it. I didn't like the glossy screen, low nits, and text fringing. Even after HDR calibration, it wasn't bright enough.

I did enjoyed playing games on it. Motion was buttery smooth and the contrast was amazing.

This monitor would have been decent if I didn't sit next to a window.
