We used distilled water. We had two warranty exchanges every three months. Still it never did. Let's face it. This is first generation technology and the newer brands and models improved itself. My fridgaire still works after 1.5 years but it just squealed and fixed itself. I'm about to return to Costco and get another brand/model from there. It's just how these machines are build. They're expensive and disposable.

Get ready to see flashing yellow lights as the error for this.
