I noticed this behavior last week too, it would only drop price for ONE HOUR only.
CHeck my KEEPA app chart, showing how and when it drops price. but it is NOT DEAD! its live right now (probably for 30 more minutes)

amazon has been dropping this gun down in price for 1 hour blocks, its done it like 3-4 times in the last few days. I just grabbed one at this price.

YOU can see how over the last month (in the attached picture), it has been dropping down to $125 every so often and sometimes for ONLY A SINGLE HOUR at a time. SO if you see it low GRAB ONE!
