The deal says limit 5, but in practice, it's limit 4 per transaction. Staples won't sell more than $1,000 of gift cards in a single transaction, and this determination is made before discounts kick in, so throwing five of these into your cart will toss up an error message asking you to reduce quantities.

Be aware that recent threads on these deals indicate that these e-gift cards are generally harder to use than the physical versions, but there is an equivalent in-store deal alongside this one, as indicated here: https://slickdeals.net/f/19808232-at-staples-no-purchase-fee-when-you-buy-a-200-visa-gift-card-in-store-only-a-7-95-value-starts-from-7-26-8-1-limit-9-per-customer-per-day

Staples processes their own gift card transactions, so paying with a credit card that earns a category bonus on office-supply stores will give you the boosted rate, but Staples doesn't award their own store rewards on the purchase of gift cards.

Nice, good for gifts.

Something I didn't know: The Dollar store has fee free cards (NOT VISA) but they're for specific stores, but a pretty wide variety of store. They do have a visa ones but not fee free

Estimated taxes for Fed you are going to be limited to 4 payments for quarter. Estimated taxes for state you are going to be eating up 40 to 50% of your profit in fees as most states charge a fee of 2 to 2.5% to pay with a credit card. Property taxes the fees vary wildy, anywhere from 2 to 4%.

This. But hey if one can save any percent on thousands of dollars of property taxes why not? I feel like in the end it just comes down to whether it's worth your time/effort. You have to calculate the amount of your property tax you want to pay, plus the credit card fee (based on percentage), to equal exactly $200. Then go through th process of making the payment and typing in all the card and billing details over and over again til your property tax is paid or you run out of cards.

Store specific gift cards are usually fee free wherever you go. It's the visa and Mastercard gift cards that usually carry a fee...which makes them opportunistic for some when the fee is waived.

is there a centralized management portal for these? What about a way to check balance/transactions? I've recorded all the info; but with other virtual gift cards having the central management is nice.
