Lavazza Espresso Barista Gran Crema is a mass produced whole bean espresso blend that pulls well for daily espresso and pour over. The 2.2 pound bag goes a long way, with only about 25 grams needed per day and freshness dates reported as very recent. The blend is praised for tasting close to pricier beans and for working especially well as espresso, though the Arabica and Robusta mix is not for every palate. A few Costco price checks also put it lower in store, making it a practical long lasting option if the flavor profile fits.
The beans can stay fresh for a long time based on the printed MFD and best-by dates.
The blend can work well for espresso because the robusta component is unpleasant alone but improves the mix.
The 2.2-lb bag can last about 40 days when using roughly 25g per day for pour-over coffee.
The coffee can taste acceptable for daily pour-over use even when compared with other mass-produced options.
The Arabica/Robusta blend can be a dealbreaker for people who want an Arabica-only coffee.
The coffee can taste very bad to some drinkers, leading them to stop using an espresso machine and switch back to Keurig.
Lavazza espresso K-cups can disappoint because they may not taste like espresso-machine coffee and can lack foam.
Gran Crema beans may be hard to find locally, even though an Espresso version can still be available.

I just need to throw it away and get some decent beans but I keep forcing myself to drink it because I still have like 2 lbs left. It's only $20 waste but still… Keurig tastes amazing compared to this so I just keep using it.
