MuscleTech Platinum 8 Hour Protein Powder is a thick, filling blend of whey, whey isolate, and casein that stands out mainly as a cheaper protein option in a pricey market. The vanilla flavor is described as decent, while the chocolate version gets hit with fake sweetness, a funky casein note, gritty texture, and a very fine powder that can get messy. The label also raises questions, with conflicting serving information and a formula that looks heavy on filler and carbs. The extended eight hour claim feels more like marketing than a real benefit, making this a practical but imperfect pick if price matters most.
The vanilla version can taste decent and may help keep you full longer than other protein powders.
The powder can be very thick yet still not taste bad for some users.
The nutrition profile can be viewed as having cholesterol that is not terrible compared with concentrates.
The powder can taste super fake and nasty, which can make the milk chocolate flavor unappealing.
The texture can be gritty and extremely fine, which can make it messy and easy to spill.
The product label and serving-size presentation can appear inconsistent, with images showing 6 scoops versus 1 scoop.
Subscribe-and-save savings can be inconsistent, with charges switching to the full undiscounted amount shortly before delivery.

That is not a thumbs up worthy deal. Better off just paying the premium on a better quality product.
