What is the use case for this? I guess turning a phone into a mini PC? But the 100W PD seems crazy high for that purpose...but I guess having that extra margin doesn't hurt either.

you can add storage and use it as a external enclosure with your laptop and power it through the 100W PD. Some people record videos through external enclosure and then they can just plug that into a desktop or laptop and work off those files.

Thank you, that makes some sense. The magnetic thing still seems weird though. Honestly I was thinking it was for people shooting high res movies on their high end phones but needing external storage. The high PD rating still confused me for that use case.
