Deal Details
Thinkbook 14x
Intel 226V 16GB RAM
Two M.2 slots, one with 256GB SSD
100% sRGB IPS display

NOTE! This does NOT have a haptic Touchpad as the PSREF specs pages say, nor does it have a glass touchpad like the product info page says.

I order this laptop and found out it doesn't have haptic, contrary to the PSREF's details. Lenovo refused to uphold the PSREF and install the haptic touchpad as promised therein, so I returned the laptop.

Ooohhhh. Wish this had 32GB of RAM. Love my Surface laptop with haptic trackpad and won't buy another laptop without one.

"Just announced" but has a two generation-old processor in it? $1000 for a unremarkable set of specs seems like a lot to spend.

The biggest selling point of this laptop is it's weight. At just 990 grams or just under 2.2lbs, it's one of the lightest laptops you can currently buy.

The price for this particular config is too high though. This needs to be $800-900 before coupons and discounts to compete with the new Dell XPS 13, which has a higher resolution touchscreen that is also much brighter at 500 nits. It also comes with 512GB vs 256GB SSD.

Overall, I am excited to see a reasonably priced ultra lightweight laptop being launched, but the price needs to come down by about $300 for it to be appealing.

It's down to $699 for the 16GB edition... Pretty good deal for a laptop with 1050TI gpu power and lunar lake CPU (other than storage, but it has 2 m.2280 slots). Reminds me of a better built MOTILE laptop from Walmart from years ago.
