This is the best Far cry game after the third in my opinion. The atmosphere and immersion is good, characters are ok and the gameplay is classic far cry

Replaying this on PC after 8+ years (unrelated to this deal, I got the game back when it first went on discount). If you haven't played any Far Cry games, this is definitely among the best of the series, next to FC3 and FC Primal. The graphics still look great. Riding elephants, and the buzzer are among my favorite mechanics of the series. Troy Baker is amazing as Pagan, and Hasan Minhaj is hilarious as the guy on the radio.

My favorite Far Cry, the first one I played which has something to do with it I'm sure. As with all these games, how interesting the villain is is pretty make or break, and Pagan Min hit the spot for me.

Can you turn off the minimap on consoles? I remember Farcry 3 didn't allow you to turn off the minimap, and all I wanted to do was find the herbs visually, not look at icons on a map

Having played all Far Cry since 3, I would say 4 5 and primal are my fav, with 3 being high but requiring multiplayer to manage without feeling "hell mode". 4 was a bit generic compared to 5 for sure, but still a good time.
