It's a dual-hose unit that uses heat pump technology, so it provides both heating and cooling with better efficiency than single-hose unit. However, it has a lower BTU rating and is refurbished.
The hose exhausts condenser heat outside, but it also throws conditioned room air outside. That puts the room under negative pressure, which pulls hot outdoor air back in through doors, windows, walls, and other leaks. The hot exhaust hose itself also radiates heat back into the room. So basically your heating cooled air in a vicious cycle ....
Just say no to any single hose unit

10k BTU. So it has 14,000 BTUs of raw cooling capacity but heats the room by 4,000 BTUs under typical conditions, for a net of 10,000 BTUs of cooling.
That's single hose for ya.
