I wish BG3 and Indiana would drop more. They just seem stuck at the repeated sale prices. Discs dying out is just going to enable Sony more to become like Nintendo in holding astronomic prices for old games :le_sigh

I think a blanket boycott like that won't work.

What could work is stop buying new releases the first 1-2 years of release. There are plenty of slightly older games to play.

Squeeze their margins and they'll listen

You would have to be a fool to buy digital at this point. It's all about control with these companies. Temporary rentals you lose access to and $80+ games once there's nowhere else to buy them. Sad to say PlayStation 5 is my last Sony console

Those discs are worthless a month after release with all the patches and updates games regularly come out with after release.

What really needs support is putting full, complete games on discs for archival purposes.

Publishers have no idea how much money they're leaving on the table by not offering such a product. That game that came out 5 years ago and released a bunch of updates? Re-Release it as an archive edition.

That used to be the GOTY editions basically but those pretty much stopped with the PS4 imo.

You know how dumb you are. Those discs have the whole 1.0 version of the game. Every gold master disc has the full game on it. No Internet required. You can play it from beginning to end. What happens when servers or no Internet connectivity is available for those updates?

You can still play it. Don't talk about something you legit have no clue about.
