I was just pricing out 7950x3d vs the 9950x3d. It seems like waiting for the 10050x3d (or whatever they name it) is a fool's errand. The price to performance uplift may be negligible. Also, waiting an undetermined amount of time could result in hefty price increases on all hardware before the new generation.
I also wanted to add- this is a great price for a crazy CPU. If you're a gamer and multitasker (at the consumer level) this is hard to beat. AMD has stated the AM5 socket will have support to 2027 and beyond. These top end cpus have good resale. If generational improvements matter to you, there will be a clear and easy path to upgrade when needed.
