Even if they're the best alkaline batteries around, and they may be, almost $10 for sixteen doesn't seem to make sense to me.

If an application demands the best, get disposable lithiums (a little over $1 per cell with some shopping, occasionally less on sale). If not, get any of a number of quality, much cheaper alkaline brands, just not Duraleak. laugh out loud

ProjectFarm tested a bunch of AA lithium disposables and AA alkalines, FWIW Energizer Max was the highest capacity alkaline, but all lithiums beat all the alkalines...

And of course, most applications can use rechargeable NiMH battieries anyway. But that's another discussion. For disposables, go cheap or go lithium IMO.
