Correct. 35mm is the wider standard that's becoming more popular for the added strength over the more common 31.8mm. A stem swap that supports 35mm would be a relatively quick and inexpensive upgrade.

I got some Spank rims being installed. Restoring a old MTB. Hard to find 26" TR rims these days. Seems like decent kit
