The deal is back $100 more than last time but still looks decent if you want an Alienware with better build but might still contain some proprietary parts.

https://www.microcenter.com/produ...41A39D6EB0

Key Features
Intel Core Ultra 9 285K (3.2GHz) Processor
32GB DDR5-5200 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Graphics Card
2TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD
2.5GbE LAN, 2x2 WiFi 7 (802.11be), Bluetooth 5.4
Windows 11 Home

The 5060 TI 16GB version is $1499 but that's not worth the $ IMO.

I bought this same exact PC from Woot PLUS a 49" MSI OLED monitor for this same price back in November.
WOW this is crazy times!
It's a nice system though.

The prices most probably will drop by October-November.
It will probably drop a little bit if.... cxmt/chinese ram manufacturers add more to the supply chain of consumer memory. I'm thinking Xmas 2027 is when things go to normal. Problem with that is the chain reaction of people not buying/building might be. Mobo , case, Psu etc companies might not survive this Rammagedon.

I had one of these 3-4 years ago and it came with three overlock options with a press of a button. Right out of the box it sounded like a jet engine without overlocking and was very compact and made it harder to upgrade. I be careful before purchasing this.

Last night the store showed 17 in stock. Today 25+ NEW IN STOCK. Interesting they're getting more inventory and not more sold...

Gave upgraded Alienware systems they use a 240 mm all in one for the CPU instead of the single unit the older Alienware desktops had

These Alienware machines come with OEM blower model GPUs and proprietary PSU to Motherboard connectors, meaning if either the board or PSU fails outside of warranty, it can be somewhat expensive to replace. This happened to me in the past and I was not happy about it.

"The 5060 TI 16GB version is $1499 but that's not worth the $ IMO." So, $1000 difference for the desktop if you pick the 5060 ti over the 5080? That sounds like a steal compared to this one. What's the link to the $1499 5060ti model?
