I bought the 8,000 BTU one from Woot. Installed last Saturday and I really like it so far. It's quiet. It's brand new by the way. Shipping was quick too. I wanted to buy another one, but it's sold out.

I sat on this one for a while and found no better deal anywhere else. The standard form factor is easier to deal with in my windows, 10K BTU is the sweet spot for my needs, and $0.023 per BTU for an inverter unit is decent. I'm sure there will be other deals as the cooling season closes, but I can't complain about this one.

As an inverter, that should be an upper limit. Usually these things can keep things cool for a couple hundred watts.

Just test your outlets to make they all work. Then flip the breaker and test again, the ones not providing electricity should be the ones connected to that circuit.
Yes, a 20amp circuit @120v can provide 2400watts safely as a maximum. That would not be safe for continuous use though. For continuous use don't exceed 80% of the maximum rating.

I'm afraid it's going to be costly and time-consuming for me to run dedicated lines to 4 bedrooms which involves breaking/patching up drywalls and drilling holes through sill plates and studs. Unfortunately, the cost of the splits will be just a fraction of the installation cost. This is an AI answer on this issue: Future and current mini splits already run on standard 115V–120V household electricity for single-zone capacities up to 12,000 BTUs (cooling spaces up to about 600–750 sq. ft.) with efficiency ratings reaching up to 24 SEER2. However, they still require a dedicated circuit breaker rather than just plugging into a shared wall outlet.
