Get a concept 2 instead of this. It's the gold standard and will last a lifetime. In the rare event something breaks you can get parts cheap direct from the manufacturer. You can get a phone or tablet holder to use apps that sync with the rower.

I agree with this mostly except I ended up getting a magnetic rower similar to this (except way cheaper) for the sole reason that the magnetic ones are way quieter and I have young kids in the house. The air and water rowers Ive used are pretty loud. If sound isn't an issue then go with the C2.

Which magnetic rower did you end up with? How does it feel vs a concept 2, if you've used one?

I second this. I bought a used concept 2 with 17k meters for $600 and could not be happier with the quality. Resale value for concept 2 is very high contrary to a norditrack.

That ifit screen crap will not last and cost $500 to replace (not sure on this one, but some of the newest ifit require a sub service too for full features) vs the basic lcd concept 2 display
Concept2 for the win here, too. I have two of them and they are beasts, and pretty much the gold standard of every Crossfit and similar gym. They are a small company who, even through Covid and the past few years' worth of inflation, have kept their products (of which the RowErg is the shining star) stable through it all. If you ever tire of a C2, you can sell it in about 30 minutes in just about any reasonably urban area on Craigslist. You can buy them there too, but they disappear fast. If you try that with a NordicTrack or any other, it's guaranteed to sit around forever unless you price it at a steal.

Agree, from my experience, ifit is a total piece of shit. The screens are laggy af, and updates lock out more and more features over time.
