Does anyone know if it retains settings (voltage and charging current)? It would be permanently mounted and powered on by smart outlet under certain conditions.

That's a great idea. Never thought to use a smart outlet with this. Should be able to monitor how much power it feeds into the battery as well.

This charger is absolutely horrible, you have to connect it in a very specific sequence to make it work. It's not intuitive at all

That's strange because I leave mine attached to battery and plug charger into the wall when needed. It starts charging every time.

You do have to know how to use it but it's better than an auto charger. And it is a very good and powerful charger
