DJI Power 1000 V2 stands out as a high output portable power station for heavier loads, with 1,024 Wh capacity, 2,600 watt max output, dual 140 watt USB C ports, and a 10 millisecond UPS switchover that suits mini PCs, NAS units, and desktops. It also adds more AC outlets, a thicker casing, and built in wireless support for solar charging through DJI accessories. The main drawbacks are the proprietary solar and charging setup, which needs extra modules, and recurring concerns about seller support and warranty handling. The price has also swung sharply, so the current discount may not be as straightforward as it looks.

Common Questions (5)

  • No. Solar input requires a DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module, and the V2's direct panel connection is limited without that module. The proprietary SDC/MPPT setup also means you may need DJI-specific accessories rather than a standard all-in-one solar hookup.

  • The V2 adds a higher 2,600W output, 10ms UPS transfer time, two AC outlets instead of one, and a thicker casing that weighs slightly more. It also supports built-in wireless tech for solar charging integration, while the original model needs a separate module.

  • Support can be handled through the seller, including repair shipping without the original box and replacement units after service. The V2 may be more dependent on seller support if it is not officially available in the U.S., so warranty handling can hinge on where you buy it.

  • Yes, the V2's 10ms transfer time is specifically suited to non-battery computers like mini PCs, NAS units, and desktops. The older model's 20ms switchover is slower and may be less suitable for sensitive gear.

  • The price has reportedly swung from about $350 to as high as $700 and back again, so the sale can be more of a recurring promo than a true one-time drop. That makes the current price worth comparing against its recent floor before buying.

Not really a deal. The price for this battery pack keeps going up to $700 for a day or two, then back down to $350 for a month, just to look like it's on sale when it's actually not

I see 399 for the V2 now. Note that the v2 also has 10ms UPS transfer time for switchover (vs 20ms). Most non-battery computers (miniPC/NAS/Desktops) require <10ms transfer time).
Choosing V2 would be better, its value is definitely more than $50.

Not correct about the built in solar charging. You need a DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module to connect any panels to this.
What do you think "separate module" means?

It was literally released with an MSRP of $1000 even though it really has always been $700

$350 might be the new blow out price, but it most no certainly a slick deal when they first marked them down.

It's DJI $700 is real, you can stop pretending you're the consumer whisperer.

This doesn't seem like a good deal at all. I'd rather buy the Jackery Explorer from Aliexpress than a DJI unit. At least jackery is a recognized player in this space.

WTH with the proprietary "SDC" connection?

V2 manual shows standard XT60 panel connector (2-wire) hooking straight to the SDC charge port, but limited to 100W. Then a second arrangement shows passing through their MPPT module (also proprietary) with a much higher limit of 400W.

Noticed in the reviews at least one DIY attempt resulted in a fried unit. Yet others mentioned the connection hardware was hard to find, which makes no sense because how do you force your customers to buy more of your stuff when you don't even have it in stock?!

First exposure to DJI, def not impressed so far. Anyone have experience with their connection hardware can comment?

Key Specifications Comparison
• Battery Capacity: Jackery 600 V2 has 640 Wh; DJI Power 1000 V2 has 1,024 Wh.
• AC Power Output: Jackery delivers 500W continuous (1,000W surge); DJI delivers 2,600W max output.
• USB-C Ports: Jackery features dual 100W ports; DJI features dual high-speed 140W ports.
• Solar & Ecosystem Design: Jackery has a built-in solar controller and direct plug-in capability; DJI lacks a default built-in solar controller or basic 12V DC output, requiring specialized external modules and accessories. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Which One Should You Choose?
• Jackery Explorer 600 V2: Best for casual camping, light travel, and charging phones, laptops, or small electronics due to its true grab-and-go weight and all-in-one friendly design. [1, 2]
• DJI Power 1000 V2: Best for heavy-duty power needs, running high-wattage appliances, professional field production, or integration with heavy DJI drone charging ecosystems. [1, 2, 3]

Thank you so much. I want something which i can use for a day or two to run some light equipment, lights, Small size fans and lights. Sometimes i might need them for 2 days. Hence asked the question. Much appreciate it
