  • Avoid harmful PTFE or PFOA chemicals that other presses use with our food-grade iron cookware. The Bellman Bacon Press might just be the most indestructible cooking tool you use. Made with heavy-duty cast iron, the press can also be seasoned like cast-iron skillets to create a non-stick surface (instructions included).

Crazy good price! I have this and it fits perfectly to entirely cover the bottom of my 10" fry pan and it is very useful in my 12" pan for making sure bacon stays flat. Too big for 8" fry pans. I'm not a flat top ("blackstone") guy but I can see it would be useful in that environment as well.

Does it come with a different plate for burgers?
This one says bacon.
Cant mix them. Wouldn't be kosher.

It's certainly cheap, but I don't like the point of failure of the wooden handle. A whole piece of cast iron would last forever and be easier to clean, having no crevices to trap grease and moisture. A brief Amazon search only yielded Lodge as the maker of a fully cast iron burger press.

The wooden handle does have the benefit of not heating up much if you're using it as a bacon press that stays in the hot pan.

Amazon shows I bought this in April 2021 for $15 and never had an issue with the handle after ~1000 uses and cleaning has never been an issue either. At $9 I would certainly recommend it. I use it for even cooking on my sandwiches and quesadillas or to press out burgers or when I'm frying bacon.

I mean if you're going to be handcuffed by silly "laws" from thousands of years ago about what you can and can not eat then yeah in this modern world you're going to have to make the hard decisions about how to navigate life... plus it's 9 bucks for crying out loud!

Unless you smash burgers every single day I would avoid getting a cast iron press as it's going to be a lot of maintenance keeping it from rusting and seasoned.

Presses are best if they're stainless steel. Quick to clean and put away.
