Not a bad book. A little slow at times but still glad I read it.

If you like the Robert Langdon stuff , it's worth the read. Also, I usually buy the ebook on sale and the audiobook is much less to add than a credit cost at audible. Plus they sync or don't read the ebook 💪

My honest opinion is that this is one of the worst books I've ever read. It is the only book I have ever "returned" to audible. To be clear, I enjoyed every Robert Langdon novel up to this one. Origin feel very formulaic and as if Dan Brown just phoned it in by using parts of his previous books to create a book. Additionally, this book felt so absurd as to not be believable. One of the great things about his previous books is that they felt like they could actually happen or may actually be true, this one is just a major eye roll the entire way through. At $3 the risk isn't in the monetary cost, but in the waste of time.

Ok agree some of Brown's books are a bit unbelievable, but the tech he describes and uses is almost always fascinating, mysterious, and well researched. His detailed description of the locations and secret connections to actual people and places, is what keeps me coming back. I loved Origin and his most recent Secret of Secrets; just open google maps street view and follow along, its like being on a guided tour of the location.

Dan Brown books are like Meat Loaf songs. Theatrical but incoherent, and with a yoyoing string of implausible climaxes throughout.

However I hope everyone who gets this deal is happy with the book.

This is one of my least favorites in the series, but at $3 you can't really go wrong with any Robert Langdon adventure lol.
