I bought two in the past week, and both were like new and hardly used. Missing the original box, but who cares? Considering the prices of controllers, This is a steal for a backup or for co op gaming. Free shipping as well.
QA note: product availability may vary by location, YMMV

Sony's DualSense in open box form stands out as a cheap way to get the PS5 controller, with some units arriving clean, well wrapped, and free of stick drift on testing. The main appeal is the low price for an Excellent condition pad, and the cobalt blue finish adds a nice bonus. The big concern is durability, since stick drift and trigger problems are repeatedly tied to DualSense controllers, and open box trade ins can arrive worn or dirty. A solid bargain if you are comfortable checking it carefully and possibly repairing it later.
Gamers who want a cheap controller to mod with Hall effect sticks, because replacement modules can fix the stick drift issue.
Players who need a controller that stays drift-free for heavy gaming, because stick drift can appear within about a year even in clean, low-humidity use.
Yes, stick drift is a recurring issue on DualSense controllers and can show up after about a year, even with normal single-player use. Some units last for years without problems, but others develop drift on both sticks or need cleaning or replacement parts.
Some cheaper open-box items can be trade-ins rather than lightly handled returns, so they may arrive dirty or worn even if listed as open box. Best Buy's return window is short, so checking condition carefully on pickup matters.
Yes, an open-box DualSense can come without the original retail box and still be usable. One reported pickup was double bubble wrapped, tested cleanly for drift, and looked fine despite missing the box.
Probably. I'm frustrated with dualsense controllers and Sony in general. Awful customer service, them killing physical media, and poor build quality for their controllers and hardware.I had two perfectly working dualsense controllers. I took a break from gaming for about 2 or 3 months, left the controllers on my desk, in a room I rarely used. Didn't spill anything on them, it wasn't in a room with a ton of humidity or moisture, it was a fairly clean environment, I live alone so nobody else had used them. They BOTH had stick drift when I came back from my gaming break.Friggin junk controllers with a built in expiration date.

I swear they did what Apple did to their batteries
Dude I don't understand, I have had 4 dual sense controller for 3 years now and not a single one of them has had stick drift. Same with my 2 Xbox controllers 3 years and no drift. What are you even playing to get drift in one year? My elite series 2 controller has been played through hours of cod fh5 fh6 Fortnite Minecraft assassins creed etc
That's Good for you....but I have 4 DS4, 5 DS5 and 7 Xbox controllers with either Drift or a messed up Trigger. I play mostly single player games and have 5,000+ hrs in Fallout BUT I also play my fair share of COD,Fortnite and Rocket League. Truth is it's a known issue. Some gamers are more rough on controllers with intense movement. I mean.... I can't play Rocket League in bed because my wife wakes up from the bed shaking lol. Netherless...controllers shouldn't have issues so quickly. 1 year is my averagemfor most. Thank God I find deals on here to keep forom paying full price.
I got and picked up a Volcanic Red - Excellent condition for $31. Didn't come with the box. It was double bubble wrapped. Tested it via dualshock tools and theres no stick drift. Everything looks fine. For $30 not bad.
I barely found this deal and I found it available it does show unavailable but I changed the condition and filter then I found excellent and ordered it . Willing to try
