The worst one was a customer that had a custom built system with 2 Titan GPUs. He had a 1200W Toughpower PSU blow a Capacitor internally which took his EVGA mobo and titans with it. It was a very expensive day for him, but we replaced all the destroyed components and the PSU with an Antec HCG 1200w.
I will say though, the RMA process was always smooth with TT, and we had lots of experience with their support department.
Anyway besides hundreds of first had anectotal cases I personally saw, the PSU tier list rates this range at a "B" or "B-" With the cost of computer components today, I would not recommend going with a TT unit.

There might be factors that could play a larger role in the failures. For example, I would potentially consider that a PSU that was pushed harder by higher end CPU/GPUs and are being pushed near the limits constantly would fail sooner.
Peronally I would avoid TT units like the plague. Don't let a $50 difference put potentially thousands of dollars of hardware at risk.
Personally I recommend the following brands in general: Corsair, EVGA Supernova, SuperFlower, Be Quiet!, Asus or Seasonic. Obviously even within these brands there are some questionable units, so its important to look up your particular generation, however I believe its a good rule of thumb for companies that "generally" make good quality units.

That NZXT PSU is WORLDS better than this TT junk and only $15 more.
