What are you referring to when you say "unlock" I recently purchased one
Locked means you can only use the phone with the carrier, in this case Cricket. Once unlocked you can leave Cricket and use the phone with a different carrier.

You can actually use it with AT&T or AT&T MVNO, I did it for eSIM and PSIM and they both works with the Moto Edge 2025
