On tuesday the taco bell app let me place one order for drive thru pickup and then another immediately. Then I just told them at the order screen I had two orders. Unsure if that's the case next week but thought I'd mention it.

Meximelt is pretty small and $2.99 everyday price is on the high side for what you get. The $1 mexican pizza fiasco last Tuesday led to 30 minute wait times and a huuuuuge drive through line. Ordered in the app, left home, ran a few errands first and still had to stand around waiting for 10+ minutes inside the store. SO glad I chose in store pick up as the drive through line was a nightmare. When I finally got my $1 mexican pizza I was told the $1 Baja Blast freeze was unavailable because the machine was defrosting the cylinder for the Baja Blast flavor. Had to get the wild strawberry freeze instead which was less than stellar. While the freeze drink and mexican pizza was only $2 plus tax I'm probably not going back there for awhile. For those who go to Taco Bell all the time, how many workers are usually in the kitchen at your local Taco Bell? Feels like there should have been more than 3 or 4 workers in the kitchen during the dinner rush?
I think I got lucky with the Mexican pizza. I ordered carry out while my bro ordered drive through pickup. He said the drive through attendant was getting slammed and had to stall for pickup orders by taking live orders first.

I'm in CA where they make $20/hr. I think there were a total of 3-4 employees. You either order via app or kiosk.

It feels like it varies widely. One time years ago I was in WI and a friend wanted a drink so pulled into the drive through. It was late0- 11ish. We got trapped because more cars pulled in behind us. We were there at least 30 minutes.
In ND I've had several experiences where I placed the order on the app and then sat in the drive through for at good 10 minutes with only 1-2 cars ahead of me (burger king also had this happen to mme frequently), One time in Bismark I placed the order on the app then drove over and the store was closed. Apprently they didnt have enough employees there to keep the store open. Showed open on the app though! lol
The one here in Northen California was pretty fast 5-6 minutes in the drive through
I like chicken options at TB but they charge a $1 to upgrade even though ground beef is about the same as chicken these days/lb.... Usually not a problem but doubles the price in this case

Similarly, I use 2 accounts, mine and my wife's, then I just pickup both after placing the mobile orders. Should work the same for others.

No wait at my local Taco Bell that is across from a University, only 2 others cars were in the drive thru at 6PM. Gave the mango aqua fresca to my wife, and the kids split the pizza as a pre-dinner snack. Worked great, little to no wait for us.
There wasn't any wait time for Mexican pizzas in Queens NYC around noon. I just go there when the food is ready, I didn't have to wait. Even if Taco Bell couldn't sell any lettuce product, they still have to sell the meats and everything else without lettuce. They'll have to sell chicken quesadillas and nachos grande for $1 if Meximelts don't bring enough sales. Mexican pizzas are expensive, that's why lots of people order them for $1. I never bought that item at regular price or even 20% off with random reward offers. Meximelts are not, so I don't expect a large crowd going to buy something that was $3 for $1.

Business is slow right now, so you won't see many people on the shifts. It has to be really busy for them to have a lot of people working. A lot of people have had their hours cut due to the problem with the lettuce. Normally, where I work, there are two people working in the drive-thru and one just for the dining area. One cashier handles both the drive-thru window and the front counter at the same time, and one is in the kitchen—this can vary depending on how busy it is and how the schedule is managed; sometimes everything is handled on a single line. P.D: I work there.
