Community Reviews
This EGO Nexus Escape is a compact inverter for people already in the EGO battery ecosystem, with pure sine output and a USB C PD port that can even recharge the battery. It has proven handy for outages and off grid use, running routers, modems, laptops, phones, lamps, TVs, Rokus, pumps, and even an electric cooler for short trips. The main limitation is that the battery is not included, runtime depends entirely on the battery size, and compatibility is limited to EGO packs. At $119, it stands out as a portable backup power option if you already have EGO batteries on hand.
The USB-C PD feature can be used to charge the EGO battery, which supports a more flexible charging workflow.
The inverter provides pure sine power that can safely run electronics like laptops, phones, and lamps during outages.
The 400W output can handle practical low-draw loads such as a router, modem, and bedroom TVs or Rokus.
The unit can be used as supplemental power for storm outages when multiple EGO batteries are kept charged.
The runtime depends on the battery size, and watt-hours are not clearly listed in the discussion which makes planning harder.
The device requires an EGO 56V ARC battery, so the power station itself cannot run without a compatible battery pack.
Charging can be slow when using low-power USB-C PD chargers, which may extend downtime during off-grid use.
Compatibility is limited to EGO batteries, and using other battery sizes can be a major issue.

Proceeds to purchase! 😂

I already have the Ryobi one that's got the AC output, AND have the 3rd party Ryobi version with USB-C... AND I still got this one. I don't know why I need it.
The older version of this guy could NOT run my Cable Modem and Router.. for some reason, it tripped the safety, where the Ryobi worked fine.
Hopefully this is better.
