I own the GX series. It handles the ripple on my line well.

These were in stock, but now on backorder due to popularity.
Lian Li 1000W for $80. Higher capacity / future proofing and cheaper.

PSU quality has improved a lot in the past 5 years.

There didn't used to be as good of competition, but now since every company has upped their game, this only okay deal.

Worth checking out the PSU rating list.

True but if you're in the market for a 140mm PSU with braided cables, and white on top of that... this is the one. I just so happened to be looking for all of that so I picked up the 850w back in April for $109 and I'm surprised this is still selling at this price. They must've been sitting on a huge stock of them and I guess no one's building PCs at the current prices lol.

Why is this thumbs down? Look at the PSU list this model checks all the boxes and gets a solid A:

It's been this price for awhile now. For some reason, black one costs more.

if i'm reading the spreadsheet right, the ATX 3.1 rev of this model got tiered at "A-" whereas its predecessor got a straight "A". i wonder why.

FWIW the Lian Li linked by Trikat was tiered straight "A". also Gold.

but seems like PSUs are getting discounted, i'd guess because PC building is slower with NAND and DRAM being so expensive. might be worth springing for a Platinum efficiency unit if the price is right.

Because if someone posts a superior product, or a better price for same product, they get a TD faster than the deal itself makes it to front page 😄

Can someone please decipher the marketing that says both "good" and "platinum"? Two different rating systems?

P.S. don't need a white PSU but it sits under anyway so I'll rarely see it
