This 2 gallon orange Halloween bucket is a simple empty HDPE bucket that works well for trick or treat use, storage, garden tasks, and other small jobs. The size gets praise for being handy, with mentions of good thickness and a carry handle, and some stores have plenty in stock even when the website shows limited availability. The main caveat is that it is not food grade and does not include candy or batteries. A few reports also mention cracked bottoms after sitting for a while, so it is a practical pick if you want a cheap reusable bucket rather than a food container.
Common Questions (5)
No, it is not food grade because of the dye and plastic used. It should not be used for raw food or food contact, though wrapped candy is fine.
Yes, delivery is available even when local stores are sold out or pickup is unavailable. Some orders showed free delivery, while others had delivery options in about two weeks.
It is mainly a reusable trick-or-treat or Halloween décor bucket, but people also use it for garden tasks, car washing, and other light household jobs. Its 2-gallon size makes it useful when a smaller bucket is needed.
No, it is just the empty bucket. The listing says "No Additional Items Included," so candy has to be bought separately.
It is a lightweight plastic bucket, and one report says the bottoms of two buckets cracked and split after sitting for a while. Another long-term use report suggests it can still hold up well for repeated seasonal use.

The 2 gal. Orange Halloween Bucket from The Home Depot is just the bucket—it does not come with candy. The product listing specifically states "Included: No Additional Items Included." It's marketed as a reusable trick-or-treat bucket and decorative item.
The bucket:
Costs about $2.98.
Holds approximately 2 gallons of candy.
Is made of durable HDPE plastic with a carry handle.
Is intended for trick-or-treating, Halloween décor, or general household use.
If you're looking for a pre-filled Halloween bucket with candy, Home Depot generally does not sell this bucket preloaded. You would need to purchase the candy separately.
