Are these good for desktop I've been lurking in the audio section looking for desktop speakers for my gaming system and 45 inch oled monitor and no I don't want edifier speakers I already have the airpulse a200 in the bedroom need my office set up. I already have focal aria evo x no 2 towers and a musical fidelity m6si amp and rsl speedwoofer and eversolo t8 and a divinity dac for audio.

These hanging pendant speakers are not good for desktop. What you want are the JBL Control 1 speakers.

I found these at an estate sale for forty-five bucks and hung them on the ceiling above my office computer at work with a Wiim amp. They were wonderful desktop speakers, but at the retail price, I think there are much better options now. On a foam mat, they did sound pretty nice on the desk. And they do have an 8 ohm selector switch.

You have great audiophile gear. This isn't an ideal speaker for close desktop listening. At least not as it is designed for. This is a pendant speaker designed to hang down from a ceiling like I see in grocery stores and gyms that is often back ground music at low volume meant to be played all day. It might be good on a desktop but you should consider a traditional active near field speaker like KEF LSX or Klipsch The Sevens or Cambridge Audio L/R S or many other options of various budgets. OR better yet get good passive speakers that fit the space and a small desktop amp.
