Almost identical to the Wavlink adapter minus the power port. Nice price, in for 1!

Does anyone have some good but cheap 5gbps ethernet switch recommendations to go along with this adapter?

If you want 5gbps, you'll probably need to get a 10gbps switch that support 5gbps. 5gbps switch/router ain't that prevalent.

You're far better off spending the money instead on a better player, like an Onn 4K Pro at Walmart, $60.

You shouldn't parrot information as a blanket statement. LG C5 and the Onn 4k Pro have very similar performance. Since the C5 is a higher end TV.

I do agree your advice would apply for lower end TVs with lower end processors and less ram.

Also the Onn 4K Pro has the same problem with ethernet maxing out at 100mbps. Which is the reason why LG OLED owners are looking at these adapters to bump it up to 200-300mbps.
There is no parroting here. I own a C5 and a B4. The Onn 4K Pro is a faster, better player. I also own AppleTVs, including 4K G2 and G3. I can't tell the difference in performance between the (aftermarket) media players, so the One 4K Pro is a good suggestion for those that need an upgrade.

Yes, there are edge cases where > 100mbps is justified. I have a single file (an 85GB movie) that even approaches 100mbps, but given it will fill up the buffer at 100mbps and only needs to reach 90mbps (per Plex's data) I'm easily safe.

YMMV. I hear what you are saying - a few people might have massive 80GB++ movies that require > 100mbps, so I should've mentioned that.

I realized I ran into this problem with my 4k remux BTTF rips. ~110mbps was giving me buffering/stuttering.

Yeah that's what I've been seeing as well. The 10gbps switches that I've seen are $180+ for a 5-port unheard of brand.
