Code worked for me, but coupon didn't apply to the quantity I had selected (4) so I backed out and now the code is not acceptable.

There is no parroting here. I own a C5 and a B4. The Onn 4K Pro is a faster, better player. I also own AppleTVs, including 4K G2 and G3. I can't tell the difference in performance between the (aftermarket) media players, so the One 4K Pro is a good suggestion for those that need an upgrade.

Yes, there are edge cases where > 100mbps is justified. I have a single file (an 85GB movie) that even approaches 100mbps, but given it will fill up the buffer at 100mbps and only needs to reach 90mbps (per Plex's data) I'm easily safe.

YMMV. I hear what you are saying - a few people might have massive 80GB++ movies that require > 100mbps, so I should've mentioned that.

This is interesting. With Fox News org buying Roku, and Roku just gertting worse in general I finally bought a Apple TV the day they did the price jumps. I haven't set it up yet, but will need 2-3 more to replace all the Rokus. You like the ONN that much?

Probably not. I bought the cheapest 2.5G a few months ago from a real brand and ended up spending more than this lol.

FYI, Onn is just another device loaded with adware and tracking. It's Walmart and cheap, data harvesting recoups the cost for the manufacturer. It has a microphone for Google Assistant compatibility, though that can be "turned off." I personally have a NUC running Linux for playing various forms of local media from Jellyfin to avoid letting the companies harvest data on what I'm streaming. But it's a good high-end device for people who don't care about data harvesting and only stream from DRM services.

How do we know a malicious foreign government like Israel hasn't tampered with these? If they did it to pagers, they'd be crazy not to do it to devices like these.
I was wondering the same but they'll be brave to assume that all of these wouldnt be sitting behind a firewall and monitored

Same reason we won't know if they tampered with your Taylor farms romaine lettuce.

"And only stream from DRM services" --- no, it's great for Plex too. And if harvesting bothers you, block it. It's not that difficult.

If you need a pretty interface, the AppleTV is $230-ish now, which I think is crazy (I own 5, albeit acquired at previous prices). If you don't need a pretty interface, the Onn is $60. There are a few Android launchers that, with an $8 payment, can be automated onto the Onn so that you'll never need to look at Android ugliness if you don't want to, so there's that too. So, there are solutions. And yes, the Onn plays *everything*.

Cuz they're too busy trying to backdoor into our routers and robot vacs at the moment, duh! vomit That's a lot of ground to cover all at once, so give them some time.
