The way these belts work is that you can pop the buckle off, then cut the belt down to size yourself before reattaching it. I have a relatively thin waist and cut probably 5 inches off of my belt with household scissors. I worried that would be a vector for the thin leather covering to tear but that hasn't happened yet. Admittedly, I don't wear it that often, it's my backup belt.
These aren't high-end belts. "Genuine Leather" is the lowest quality of leather - it's a synonym for "we're legally allowed to call this leather, barely." But it works fine for me.
I love this review:
This isn't for me, but my husband ordered this, and it's seriously the ugliest belt I've ever seen. This is his "golfing belt". But if you plan on moving into a retirement home in the near future and need something to keep this pants under your armpits, this is your belt. It's not meant for anyone under the age of 70.
